CHP and partners invite you to a sector consultation
Homelessness 2020 Strategy – what’s in it for newly-arrived youth?
Young people who are new to Australia experience particular issues of vulnerability and disadvantage such as homelessness, lack of family support, lack of income, discrimination, language barriers, parenting responsibilities, the effects of trauma and adjusting to a new way of life.
However, this group of young people are not specifically included in the H2020 Strategy.
CHP is keen to get your views on the key issues for newly-arrived youth who are experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness and how they can benefit from the Strategy.
There will be an overview of the H2020 Strategy, then consultation will seek input on:
1. What do we welcome in the Homelessness 2020 Strategy?
2. What is missing from the Strategy?
3. What do we want clarification on?
4. What areas do we want CHP to undertake advocacy on?
